Don't be afraid to just jump in and start creating a wiki. it's easy to learn as you go and you can keep it private until you're ready to share. I've used this for literature circle blogging, to track a child that I'm tutoring this summer, and also have access to or subscribed to wikis through conferences of talks just like Mark's.<br />

But don't forget to share! We use iMovie but there are other video creation sources out there. One easy video maker is <a class="wiki_link_ext" href="http://animoto.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">animoto.com</a>. It is VERY easy to learn and to use.</span><br />

Glogster posters, or Glogs, are a wonderful way of encouraging reading, writing, speaking and creativity using technology. Students are excited about and enjoy using this program, as it allows a lot of room for creativity. Glogster isn't perfect and can be plagued by small problems such as losing work when Glogs haven’t saved properly but Glogster EDU has alleviated many of these issues.</span><br />

Valenza and other librarians have gathered and organized resources on virtually any eduation related topic you can imagine. It's a great place to start if you have a topic in mind, if you'd like to learn a few things, or just want to explore. Start at the <a class="wiki_link_ext" href="http://sdst.libguides.com/newtools" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">SPARTAN GUIDES to NEW TOOLS</a> link then take some time to explore some other sections on the left side, in particular, the links for <a class="wiki_link_ext" href="http://sdst.libguides.com/teachers" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">TEACHERS</a> and<a class="wiki_link_ext" href="http://sdst.libguides.com/librarians" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> TEACHER LIBRARIANS</a>.
